# How to start staking

## Staking 101

#### **How to Stake PKT**

1. Make sure you have **PKT on Base** in your wallet.
2. Ensure you have at least **$0.05 worth of ETH on Base** for gas fees.
3. Open your wallet’s browser and go to:  
   **[https://pkt.cash/app\_dot\_pkt/overview?ref=PKT-5-APR](https://pkt.cash/app_dot_pkt/overview?ref=PKT-5-APR)**  
   *(You can also use a desktop browser with the PKT Chrome extension.)*
4. **Connect your wallet** to the site.
5. Tap the **menu icon (three horizontal lines)** in the top-right corner.
6. Select **Staking**.
7. Click **Add Stake**.
8. Enter a **name** for your stake (e.g., “Stake 1”).
9. Input the **amount of PKT** you want to stake.
10. Choose your **staking duration**:
    
      - **1 month → 1× yield multiplier**
      - **3 months → 1.5×**
      - **6 months → 2×**
      - **12 months → 4×** *(yields as if you have up to 4× more PKT staked)*
11. Click **Next** and **sign the transaction** in your wallet.
